With the all-rounder prisma SMART, patient-specific ventilation therapy is possible. This device can also be used in combination with the powerful respiratory air humidifier prismaAQUA, which humidifies and warms the breathing air to prevent the mucous membranes from drying out during therapy. Pressure relief softPAP
For comfortable expiration during therapy, the pressure in CPAP and autoCPAP mode is reduced at the start of expiration and increased to therapy pressure in time for the start of the inhalation phase to facilitate exhalation as much as possible and effectively prevent events.
Fall asleep comfortably - softSTART
The softSTART function can be activated to help you fall asleep and slowly acclimate to therapy pressure during the sleep phase. This ensures a slow increase in pressure over a set period until therapy pressure is reached. This is particularly useful for patients who find high pressure uncomfortable while awake and cannot fall asleep.

Patient’s sensitivity to pressure adjustments varies. To ensure individually appropriate therapy, two options for pressure adjustment are available in APAP mode: Standard and Dynamic. The therapy pressure adjusts automatically during the night to meet the patient’s needs. This automatic mode is particularly suitable for treating obstructive sleep apnea and fluctuating pressure requirements. Additionally, pressure increases at closed central events are avoided.
The operation of the device is characterized by a uniform concept and clearly structured menus, making it intuitive and easy to use via the large LED display.
During therapy, the patient’s respiratory patterns are continuously analyzed by prisma RECOVER to identify phases of stable breathing that indicate deep sleep and are particularly restorative for the patient.
